I cannot remember a time when I was not entranced by color. I have vivid memories of color from when I was 4 years old, neuronal connections that still recall the green of an escaped parakeet that landed on the fire escape of the fourth-floor walkup my family rented in the 1950s.
I am still arrested by color. The purple of this house in Park City, Utah, stopped me, and then the geometry dictated the image.
